Publish Message

Publish a message to an SNS topic or send SMS

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the AWS SNS connector.
  2. Pick the Publish Message action (under sns).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{publishMessage.response.data}}.

Fields

topicArnstring

The ARN of the SNS topic to publish to (optional if phoneNumber or targetArn is provided)

messagestringrequired

The message to publish

subjectstring

Subject line for email notifications (optional)

messageAttributesstring

JSON object with message attributes (e.g., {"key": {"DataType": "String", "StringValue": "value"}})

messageStructurestring

Set to 'json' for multi-protocol messages, 'string' for single protocol

One ofjsonstringDefault "string"

phoneNumberstring

Phone number for SMS (E.164 format, e.g., +1234567890). If provided, topicArn is not required.

targetArnstring

The ARN of the endpoint to publish to (platform endpoint). If provided, topicArn is not required.
