theme

Returns an OnlineStoreTheme by its ID. Use this query to retrieve theme metadata and access the theme's files, which include templates, assets, translations, and configuration files.

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Shopify connector.
  2. Pick the theme action (under Theme).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{theme.response.data}}.

Query

This is the query the action sends by default. Edit it in the step's Query field to change which fields come back.

graphql
query Theme($id: ID!) {
  theme(id: $id) {
    createdAt
    id
    name
    prefix
    processing
    processingFailed
    role
    themeStoreId
    updatedAt
  }
}

Variables

Pass these as a JSON object in the step's Variables field.

idstringrequired

The ID of the theme.

Response

Read the result with {{theme.response.data.data.theme}}. If the API returns errors, the step fails and they are at {{theme.response.data.errors}}.
