metafieldsDelete

Deletes Metafield objects in bulk by specifying combinations of owner ID, namespace, and key.

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Shopify connector.
  2. Pick the metafieldsDelete action (under Metafields).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{metafieldsdelete.response.data}}.

Query

This is the mutation the action sends by default. Edit it in the step's Query field to change which fields come back.

graphql
mutation MetafieldsDelete($metafields: [MetafieldIdentifierInput!]!) {
  metafieldsDelete(metafields: $metafields) {
    deletedMetafields {
      key
      namespace
      ownerId
    }
    userErrors {
      field
      message
    }
  }
}

Variables

Pass these as a JSON object in the step's Variables field.

metafieldsarray<object>required

A list of identifiers specifying metafields to delete. At least one identifier must be specified.

ownerIdstringrequired
namespacestringrequired
keystringrequired
json
{
  "metafields": [
    {
      "ownerId": "string",
      "namespace": "string",
      "key": "string"
    }
  ]
}

Response

Read the result with {{metafieldsdelete.response.data.data.metafieldsDelete}}. If the API returns errors, the step fails and they are at {{metafieldsdelete.response.data.errors}}.
