event

Retrieves a single event by ID. Events chronicle activities in your store such as resource creation, updates, or staff comments.

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Shopify connector.
  2. Pick the event action (under Event).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{event.response.data}}.

Query

This is the query the action sends by default. Edit it in the step's Query field to change which fields come back.

graphql
query Event($id: ID!) {
  event(id: $id) {
    action
    appTitle
    attributeToApp
    attributeToUser
    createdAt
    criticalAlert
    id
    message
  }
}

Variables

Pass these as a JSON object in the step's Variables field.

idstringrequired

The ID of the event.

json
{
  "id": "string"
}

Response

Read the result with {{event.response.data.data.event}}. If the API returns errors, the step fails and they are at {{event.response.data.errors}}.

actionstring
appTitlestring
attributeToAppboolean
attributeToUserboolean
createdAtstring
criticalAlertboolean
idstring
messagestring
