customerAccessTokenRenew

Extends the validity of a CustomerAccessToken before it expires. The renewed token maintains authenticated access to customer operations.

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Shopify Storefront connector.
  2. Pick the customerAccessTokenRenew action (under Customer).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{customeraccesstokenrenew.response.data}}.

Query

This is the mutation the action sends by default. Edit it in the step's Query field to change which fields come back.

graphql
mutation CustomerAccessTokenRenew($customerAccessToken: String!) {
  customerAccessTokenRenew(customerAccessToken: $customerAccessToken) {
    customerAccessToken {
      accessToken
      expiresAt
    }
    userErrors {
      field
      message
    }
  }
}

Variables

Pass these as a JSON object in the step's Variables field.

customerAccessTokenstringrequired

The access token used to identify the customer.

json
{
  "customerAccessToken": "string"
}

Response

Read the result with {{customeraccesstokenrenew.response.data.data.customerAccessTokenRenew}}. If the API returns errors, the step fails and they are at {{customeraccesstokenrenew.response.data.errors}}.
