Invoke Function

Invoke an AWS Lambda function synchronously or asynchronously

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the AWS Lambda connector.
  2. Pick the Invoke Function action (under lambda).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{invokeFunction.response.data}}.

Fields

The name of the Lambda function, version, or alias (e.g., my-function, my-function:v1, my-function:PROD)

payloadstring

JSON string containing the input data for the Lambda function

invocationTypestring

Type of invocation: RequestResponse (synchronous), Event (asynchronous), or DryRun (validation only)

One ofRequestResponseEventDryRunDefault "RequestResponse"

qualifierstring

Version or alias to invoke (e.g., $LATEST, 1, PROD). If not specified, $LATEST is used.

clientContextstring

Base64-encoded JSON string with client-specific information (optional)

logTypestring

Set to Tail to include execution log in the response (only for RequestResponse)

One ofNoneTailDefault "None"
