Transform

Execute JSONata expression against JSON data to transform, query, and manipulate data

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the JSONata connector.
  2. Pick the Transform action.
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{transform.response.data}}.

Fields

The JSONata expression to execute against the input data

The JSON data to transform (can be object, array, or primitive)

manipulationsarray<object>

Optional: Manipulate data before processing. Add fields, append to arrays, merge objects, etc.

operationstringrequired

Type of manipulation to perform

pathstringrequired

Dot notation path to target location (e.g., 'user.profile.email' or 'items[0].tags')

valuestring

Value to add/update/append. Can be literal, JSON object, or JSON array. Enter JSON directly (will be parsed automatically). Use @ to insert references.

indexnumber

Array index to insert at (for 'insert' operation only)

createPathboolean

Create intermediate paths if they don't exist (default: true)

Default true

Filter and reshape an array

Keep only orders over $100 and project them to a smaller shape
