Update a customer

PUT/api/customers/{id}

Use it in a workflow

Add a step and choose the Gorgias connector.
Pick the Update Customer action (under Customers).
Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{updateCustomer.response.data}}.

The ID of the customer to update.

Enter the body as JSON in the step's Body field.

channelsarray<object>

The [customer's contact channels](#the-customerchannel-object).

Either the slug of a non-legacy channel or one of email,phone,chat,twitter,facebook,instagram,instagram-direct-message,whatsapp,whatsapp-bsuid

addressstringrequired

Address of the customer channel. Depending on the type it can be an email address, a phone number, a Facebook user ID, etc...

preferredbooleanrequired

Whether this is the preferred (primary) channel to contact this customer.

Default false

emailstring | null

Primary email address of the customer.

external_idstring | null

ID of the customer in a foreign system (Stripe, Aircall, etc...). This field is not used by Gorgias, feel free to set it as you wish.

languagestring | null

The customer's preferred language (format: ISO_639-1).

Response

Returns 202 with an object. Read it in later steps with {{updateCustomer.response.data.<field>}}.
