Query

Query items from a DynamoDB table using a partition key and optional sort key condition

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the AWS DynamoDB connector.
  2. Pick the Query action (under dynamodb).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{query.response.data}}.

Fields

Condition expression for the partition key (e.g., pk = :pk AND sk > :sk)

JSON object mapping expression attribute values (e.g., {":pk": "value", ":sk": "value"})

JSON object mapping expression attribute names (e.g., {"#n": "name"})

filterExpressionstring

Optional filter expression to apply after the query (e.g., #attr > :val)

indexNamestring

Name of a Global Secondary Index (GSI) or Local Secondary Index (LSI) to query

limitnumber

Maximum number of items to evaluate (not necessarily returned)

exclusiveStartKeystring

JSON string of the primary key of the first item to evaluate (for pagination)

scanIndexForwardboolean

Whether to scan the index in ascending order (default: true)

Default true

projectionExpressionstring

Expression to specify which attributes to retrieve (e.g., id, name)

consistentReadboolean

Whether to perform a strongly consistent read (default: false)

Default false
