Retrieve an item from a DynamoDB table by its key

Use it in a workflow

Add a step and choose the AWS DynamoDB connector.
Pick the Get Item action (under dynamodb).
Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{getItem.response.data}}.

The name of the DynamoDB table

keystringrequired

JSON string containing the primary key (e.g., {"id": "123"} or {"pk": "user", "sk": "123"})

consistentReadboolean

Whether to perform a strongly consistent read (default: false)

Default false

projectionExpressionstring

Expression to specify which attributes to retrieve (e.g., id, name, #attr)

expressionAttributeNamesstring

JSON object mapping expression attribute names (e.g., {"#attr": "attribute-name"})
