Convert XML to CSV

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Data Converter connector.
  2. Pick the XML to CSV action (under helper).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{xmlToCsv.response.data}}.

Fields

contentstringrequired

The XML to convert, e.g. {{downloadFile.response.data.content}}.

inputEncodingstring

Choose base64 for content from the FTP, SFTP or File connectors.

One oftextbase64Default "text"

recordPathstring

Where the list of rows is, e.g. Orders.Order or data.items. Can be left empty when the data is a list, or a list inside single wrappers like <Orders><Order>…; otherwise the whole object becomes one row.

arrayPathsstring

Comma-separated element paths that are always lists, even when only one appears, e.g. Orders.Order.

attributePrefixstring

XML attributes appear as keys with this prefix, e.g. @_id.

Default "@_"

csvDelimiterstring

The column separator.

Default ","

includeHeaderboolean

Start with a row of column names.

Default true

lineEndingstring

One oflfcrlfDefault "lf"

escapeFormulasboolean

Prefix cells starting with = + - or @ with ' so spreadsheets show them as text. Changes those values.

Default false

returnAsstring

text: the converted text. base64: for uploading with FTP, SFTP or File.
