Encrypt Data

Encrypt data using AES encryption with a secret key

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Crypto connector.
  2. Pick the Encrypt Data action (under security).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{encryptData.response.data}}.

Fields

The data to encrypt (string or JSON)

secretstringrequired

The secret key used for encryption. Always hashed with SHA-256 and truncated to the algorithm's key length before use — not a slow, salted KDF, so prefer a long random value over a memorable passphrase.

algorithmstring

The encryption algorithm to use

The encoding format for the encrypted output
