Create User

Create a new user in a Cognito User Pool

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the AWS Cognito connector.
  2. Pick the Create User action (under cognito).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{createUser.response.data}}.

Fields

The ID of the user pool where the user will be created

usernamestringrequired

The username for the user

emailstring (email)

The user's email address

phoneNumberstring

The user's phone number (E.164 format)

temporaryPasswordstring

The temporary password for the user (if not provided, Cognito will generate one)

messageActionstring

Set to SUPPRESS to suppress sending the welcome message, or RESEND to resend the welcome message

One ofSUPPRESSRESEND

userAttributesstring

JSON object with user attributes (e.g., {"given_name":"John","family_name":"Doe"})

desiredDeliveryMediumsstring

JSON array of delivery mediums (e.g., ["EMAIL", "SMS"])

forceAliasCreationboolean

If set to true, the user must change the temporary password on first sign-in

Default false
