Create records

POST/{baseId}/{tableIdOrName}

Use it in a workflow

  1. Add a step and choose the Airtable connector.
  2. Pick the Create Records action (under Records).
  3. Fill in the fields below, then reference the result from later steps as {{createRecords.response.data}}.

Path parameters

baseIdstringrequired

The Airtable base ID (starts with "app").

tableIdOrNamestringrequired

The table ID (starts with "tbl") or the table's name.

Request body

Enter the body as JSON in the step's Body field.

fieldsobjectrequired

Field name/value pairs for the new record.

typecastboolean

If true, Airtable attempts to automatically convert values that don't match the field's configured type (e.g. creating new select options).

Response

Returns 200 with an object. Read it in later steps with {{createRecords.response.data.<field>}}.
